Freddie Scelsa recently retired from running a family jewelry business in New Jersey. She has been a lifelong supporter of literature and the arts, where her most enduring role is that of audience member.

Kate Scelsa is a writer and performer whose debut young adult novel, "Fans of The Impossible Life," is being published by HarperCollins/Balzer+Bray in September. From 2002-2013 Kate performed in NYC and on tour with theater company Elevator Repair Service in their trilogy of works based on great American novels, including the eight hour long marathon production, "Gatz."

Vin Scelsa, the host of Idiot's Delight, is a pioneer of free-form radio who graced the airwaves of New York for nearly 50 years until his recent retirement. He shared his love of music, books and storytelling most recently with his audiences on WFUV and Sirius/XM. His strict code of artistic freedom made him a favorite among a wide range of musicians and artists.
