You Name It

You Name It by Todd Shalom

Todd Shalom will lead an improvised, participatory walk for a group of 12 through Wilmington. He will facilitate the creation of collective poetic responses to the unfolding landscape by incorporating techniques from poetry, movement, sound and photography. The starting point will be determined with group input via The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts' Facebook page. From there, it's anyone's guess.

This walk will be led in English but Todd also speaks Spanish. "You Name It" is part of DRIFT and is presented in partnership with The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts.

Curated by Maiza Hixson, DRIFT is a series of exhibits at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts that utilize the city of Wilmington as a site for sculpture and performance work. Based upon the idea of the French Situationist derive, or, a playful-constructive walk rather than the classic journey or stroll, DRIFT focuses on the city as museum and the abundant visual culture surrounding us through a series of curated walks, runs, and other moving museum projects featuring artists and organizations. DRIFT has been funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
