Hip Hop Poetry
Tweet |
In Hip-Hop Poetry by Marjua Estevez, participants will walk around the East Village with an ear to the musical elements in our everyday surroundings. Using different techniques from hip hop, sound and writing, Marjua will work with the group to create poetic lines set to a beat.
This walk holds 12 people and is part of "The Walk as Poem," a course taught by Todd Shalom in the MFA in Writing at Pratt Institute. Hip Hop Poetry will be offered in English, but Marjua also speaks Spanish.
