Through the Cracks
Artist/composer Betsey Biggs will lead an audio-based walk through Manhattan’s Tin Pan Alley, birthplace of American popular music. Participants will explore the sepia-stained music seeping through the cracks of the city's sidewalks, and use sound as a portal through which to discover the enchanted, hidden life buried in the neighborhood. The group will walk forwards, backwards, and in time-stretched loops, as memory intertwines with the present to create a moving and layered collage.
This walk holds 8 people.
