Christian Hawkey (moderator) is a poet, writer, educator, translator, editor, and activist. He's written/translated/collaborated on numerous books, including Ventrakl (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2011) and Sonne from Ort (Kookbooks, 2013). He translates contemporary German poetry, and with the German poet Uljana Wolf he translates the Austrian writer Ilse Aichinger. With Rachel Levitsky he founded and runs the Office of Recuperative Strategies, a research-oriented collective dedicated to exploring new tactics to promote the reuse, perversification, and reparation of precarious, outmoded, and/or correctable cultural phenomena. He designed and directs Pratt Institute's new MFA in Writing.
Rachel Levitsky is the author of Neighbor (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2009), Under the Sun (Futurepoem Books, 2002), and DEARLY (A+Bend Press, 1999). Her latest book The Story of My Accident Is Ours (2013) has been published by Future Poem Books. In 1999, Rachel started Belladonna* as a reading series at the Bluestockings Women's Bookstore. She is now a founding member of the Belladonna* Collaborative.
Eve Mosher is an artist and interventionist living and working in New York City. Her works use investigations of the landscape as starting points for audience exploration of urban issues. Her public works raise issues of involvement in the environment, public/private space use, history of place, cultural and social issues and our own understanding of the urban ecosystem. http://www.evemosher.com
Ryan Tracy holds degrees in Music Composition and Gender Studies, and he is a PhD student in English at the CUNY Graduate Center. His work currently focuses on "narcissism" as a central concept of social, psychoanalytic, political, literary and queer theories. Ryan has written about performance for The American Reader, The New York Press, The Gay & Lesbian Review, and Performa Magazine, among others. Ryan's music and theater have been presented at venues throughout New York, including Brooklyn Academy of Music (Fall 2014), The Kitchen, The Abrons Arts Center, and Dixon Place.
