Walks will be given by students of "The Walk as Poem," a class taught by Todd Shalom for students in the MFA in Writing at Pratt Institute.

Spring 2015:

Marjua Estevez is a music journalist and print designer. In continuing her education as an MFA student in the Writing at Pratt Institute, she creates ways to address the needs of the marginalized via her love of language and the spoken word.

Stephon Lawrence is a writer/artist from Brooklyn, NY. She received a BA in Writing and Art History from SUNY Geneseo in 2014. Her poetry focuses on modern culture as shaped by technology and the internet. Stephon is currently working towards an MFA in Writing at Pratt Institute.

Cecily Schuler is a 2016 MFA Writing candidate at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. A 2013 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference contributor in non-fiction, Cecily's new work will be published in Fairy Tale Review (2015) and Ellipsis (2015). Cecily co-slam-managed the Seattle Poetry Slam from 2013-2014, and is the current slam manager of Union Square Slam in New York City.

Cat Tyc is an artist/writer/filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Her poetry & fiction have most recently been published in 6x6 and Weekday. She is currently an MFA Candidate at Pratt Institute’s MFA in Writing.

 Brooklyn. She is working toward her BFA in Creative Writing. Her main focus is poetry, though this is Sarah's first time using the walk as a medium for expression.

Grace Dilger is a student at the Pratt Institute studying to receive her BFA in Writing. Originally from the Jersey Shore, Grace currently resides in Brooklyn

Spring 2012:

Dakota Sica (pictured right) is a Brooklyn-based artist who works in performance and sculpture. He is currently working on thinning the membrane between real life and the practice of art-making. Dakota just returned from a residency program at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and is currently studying at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.

Fall 2011:

Lancelot Runge is 22 years old, an artist and student living in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. He is big on collaboration and the performance arts. The walk is informed by his childhood fascination with filmmaking and how it informs art and life. He is a Scorpio.

Andrea Racine is a student at Pratt Institute working towards a BFA in Creative Writing. Although she has been been very involved in the performing arts, this is her first time using the walk as a platform. She currently lives in Brooklyn.

Kara Fowler is a native New Yorker and fiction-writer-in-training. She is in her junior year of the Writing Program at Pratt Institute.
